Deer farmers and producers of quality venison and homemade produce

Our story
Sam and Kayleigh

December 2020 we were given an opportunity we couldn't refuse and purchased a small herd of red deer, this enabled us to start our deer farming journey. March 2022 we took on the tenancy of Nunford farm in the beautiful town of Colyton. April 2022 we welcomed a new addition to the family with our little girl Aleia (just in case we didn't have enough to do with a new farm.) Over time we have increased our herd of reds and continue to work hard on the farm expanding our business and vision. September 2023 we welcomed another little girl, Leonie, to the madness we love to call home. We are now at a point in our journey to share our love and passion for venison by selling our produce whether that's our homemade products made within the farm kitchen or the meat from the deer. We look forward to continuing our journey and expanding with new and exciting adventures, keeping to our main focus of producing healthy sustainable produce for all to enjoy.

What we do

                    Venison

We provide a selection of venison throughout the year, tailored to the seasons. All of our Red deer are born and raised on our small family farm enabling us to slowly mature them on herb rich grassland to a high standard. We then carefully select the deer that are ready to be culled, which is carried out on the farm. In doing this it eliminates stress on the deer from traveling and greatly reduces the food miles. We then transport them a short distance to Richard at East Hill pride, where they are skilfully butchered ready for delivery to our retail, wholesale and hospitality customers.

Homemade produce

Within the farms home kitchen we have been developing classic homemade produce using our venison. These products are made to order and are a tasty addition to your packed lunch/picnic.   Throughout the year we will be offering specials and exciting new combination of flavours and recipes so keep an eye out on our social media pages for any updates.

Dog chews

Deer antler naturally contains zinc, iron, calcium and potassium, all of which will have nutritional benefits for your dog. Along with the health benefits the antler chew provides a stimulating treat.

Antlers take longer to eat and break down compared to other bone chews. They do not split apart and are gradually ground down by your dogs teeth. Making them the perfect treat for any dog who loves to chew!

Benefits of eating venison

Venison is a great source of protein, incredibly low in fat, and its levels of saturated fat are much lower than in other red meats like beef. It also contains minerals that are good for our health, including iron, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc as well as vitamins B6 and B12, riboflavin, niacin, and thiamine.  It is one of the healthiest meats on the market and most importantly it tastes delicious.
